Our Team

John Paul “JP” Joiner is engaged with CPX Energy in a consulting/advisory role with a focus on facility design, construction, and production operations and optimization.  With over 40 years of domestic and international experience, he brings operational experience across both conventional and unconventional developments.

Prior to his involvement with CPX, John Paul built and led a team for Apache Corporation and Altus Midstream in the successful commissioning, operation, and expansion of natural gas and NGL midstream assets from predevelopment to production levels of approximately 380 million cubic feet equivalent per day.

Previously John Paul held several roles with EOG Resources of increasing responsibility.  His time with EOG began in the early stages of the Barnett and included the expansion from 50 to over 350 producing wells.  John Paul transferred to the Canadian Division and coordinated facilities and production operations in the Horn River Basin play.  Ultimately, he was transferred to west Texas as a Production/Facility Superintendent in the Midland Division where he oversaw production operations and facility design and construction in the Midland and Delaware Basins.

 John Paul began his career in field operations with Stellar Energy, followed by KCS Energy which later became Petrohawk.
