Our Team

Bridget Powell is a certified petroleum landman and the executive vice president and director of land for CPX Energy. She directs all leasing, land administration, and land due diligence efforts for the company. 

Bridget joined CPX in 2013 after spending more than 16 years with Thomas Development Corporation (TDC) a premier land services company with multiple offices throughout the United States. While at TDC, Bridget assumed several leadership roles before ultimately becoming vice president. She was responsible for the supervision and coordination of all title, abstracting, curative and due diligence projects in various regions for top tier operators such as WPX Energy, Anadarko, Devon Energy and Marathon Oil, culminating in acquisitions totaling over 300,000 acres. Bridget also directly led all efforts to acquire 14,000 acres in the Permian Basin on behalf of CPX's predecessor company, as well as the leasing of more than 20,000 acres in the Fort Worth Basin. Previously at TDC, Bridget was Barnett Shale Project Manager where she supervised more than 100 land brokers and administrative personnel in the leasing and title abstracting of all acreage for a major independent. 

Bridget obtained her B.A. and M.A from Louisiana State University.
