Our Team

Kagen Elenburg joined CPX in 2019, bringing a wealth of geologic evaluation and development management experience. Prior to joining CPX, Kagen served as Chief Operations Officer for a Gennesaret, a production company operating vertical fields in conventional fields. Previously, he was an exploration geologist and geologic operations supervisor for Silver Creek Oil & Gas, where he helped the company acquire three grass roots prospects and geo-steered over 80 horizontal wells in three different basins. He also worked as a completion consultant for Antero Resources and helped complete over 100 wells in the Marcellus and Woodford shales. Kagen began his career as a geologist and completions engineer for Swan Production, helping them discover and be on the forefront of developing the Marble Falls play in Jack and Palo-Pinto counties.

Kagen received his BS in geology from Texas Christian University.
